Cecilia
D. Loebe (Dale)
Executive Director
Mallard Landing
Dale brings to Mallard Landing Retirement Community
a wealth of experience and management skills, enhanced
by her personal commitment to all residents. Her career
in sales and marketing spans more than two decades of
positions within the senior healthcare industry.
Her retirement community-marketing career began
at Green Meadows Assisted Living Community, in Dover,
Delaware. Dale then took on a greater challenge by
becoming the Marketing Director at Westminster Village
Retirement Community, also in Dover. Her responsibilities
included coordinating the community's development
with contractors and the design team, as well as developing
and implementing a strategic marketing plan. During
her several years at Westminster Village, Dale guided
sales in the community almost to completion, then
took on additional responsibilities as Resident Services
Coordinator and Director of Operations on the independent
living campus.
In March of 1997, Dale arrived at Mallard Landing
to begin her role as Marketing Director for the development
of the independent senior community here in Salisbury,
Maryland. She successfully launched the first phase
of sales for condo apartments and cottages, as well
as supervised the initial wave of residents moving
to Mallard Landing. After a brief interval in which
Dale took a position closer to her former home, she
returned to Mallard Landing in the capacity of Executive
Director.
Today, as Mallard Landing's Executive Director,
Dale directs and oversees a team of dedicated managers
and staff, all of whom interact with residents on
a daily basis. Through her extensive knowledge and
experience she brings compassion and understanding
to her position, while maintaining the professional
integrity of operating an efficient, well-organized
community. She currently resides in nearby Laurel,
Delaware.

Lori Santos
Human Resources Director

Lori Santos grew up on the Eastern Shore. After graduating from high school she moved to Richmond, VA where she attended the University of Richmond and obtained her B.A. in International Studies. Later, she moved back to the shore and worked in customer service related positions while going to school at Salisbury University. In 1998 she graduated with her M.A. in English. She then moved to the Washington, DC area where she taught English as a Second Language and worked as a Director of Guest Services in the hotel industry. Lori has spent 11 years working in the hotel industry in customer service.
After getting married Lori decided to move back to the Shore and make a career change to Human Resources. She spent the last 3 years working at Hudson Health as a Human Resources Director. Ms. Santos is certified as a Professional in Human Resources and is a member of the National Society of Human Resource Management. Lori's extensive customer service and HR experience will bring together the teams at Mallard Landing and Lakeside.

Lynn
Brocato
Director of Sales
Mallard Landing
After earning her Bachelor's Degree in Business
and Finance from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland,
Lynn established her career in the banking industry.
Here she continually broadened her knowledge base
by taking on positions such as Loan Officer, Assistant
Manager and Collections Manager for GMBC Employees
Federal Credit Union and as a Mortgage Servicing Representative
for Baltimore County Savings Bank and Staff Accountant
at Bank of Fruitland. She also became involved
in launching promotions of credit lines and developing
long-term customer relations programs. Banking also
brought her into the areas of preparing settlement
packages for mortgage loans and disbursements to title
companies which serves her well in her current positions of Principle Broker of Senior Realty, LLC and Director of Sales at Mallard Landing.
Her involvement in coordinating financial and customer
service resources influenced Lynn's desire to further
her education. She graduated from Loyola College with
an MBA in Business with a concentration in Marketing.
Her most recent accomplishment has been to receive
her Maryland Brokers License that enables her to
represent Mallard Landing Homeowners in the resale
of their current homes. Lynn also serves as Director of Sales and the exclusive real estate broker at Mallard Landing's sister community, Summersgate, Active Lifestyle cCommunity, on Johnson Road.
Lynn's tenure as a Community Development Coordinator
for The United Way of the Lower Easter Shore allowed
her to acquire a vast network of community contacts
and networking within Salisbury and surrounding areas.
A genuine commitment to self-involvement within her
community persists in her enthusiasm and dedication
in providing seniors with a lifestyle of fulfillment
and security both financially and emotionally.

Lisa Murphy
Community Relations Director
Mallard Landing
Lisa (Briddell) Murphy was raised in Salisbury with 3 sisters. After attending local schools, she graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park with a B.S. in Horticulture. Returning to the Shore, Lisa worked at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore first as a Senior Groundskeeper and then as an Agricultural Technician in Soybean Research, also taking graduate courses in Agricultural Education.
After 10 years of being an at-home mom for 2 little girls, volunteering and working part-time, she returned to full-time work as the Executive Director of the Lower Eastern Shore Branch of the Maryland Chapter Arthritis Foundation and remained there for 10 years. Lisa then worked at Salisbury University as the Assistant Director of the Annual Giving Program before coming to work at Mallard Landing as the Community Relations Director in April 2004.
Lisa is married to Don and has two girls, Jessica (22) and Jordan (19).

Jay Hambright
Executive Chef
Mallard Landing and
Lakeside Assisted Living
Jay grew up in a restaurant family that spanned 50 years in the business. This helped generate a life-long passion for creativity and enjoyment of food preparation. His educational background includes a BA in Business, Social Agency Management and Psychology from Springfield College. He took advanced studies at the University of Rochester, including Rochester Memorial Hospital in Clinical Psychology, Psychiatric Emergency and Group Psychotherapy.
In Jay's earlier life he created and administered social programs and established Federal, State and local financing for specific intervention strategies dealing with violent street gangs, violence prone neighborhoods and heroin addicted populations. He was a priority resource for Civil Rights progress. In his mid-life career hs created a graphic arts production house that manufactured advertising collateral, point of purchase materials, corporate communication materials and produced large format digital imaging.
Ten years ago, after selling his business, Jay moved to the Eastern Shore and mentored with some chef friends from Baltimore and Philadelphia just for fun. He came to Mallard Landing in April of 2000 and he enjoys it immensely.

Gary Chatham
Facilities Director
Mallard Landing and
Lakeside Assisted Living
Gary Chatham, Facilities Director, has been employed at Mallard Landing for five years, bringing to the job a wealth of experience after working for many years at Dresser Industries until that business moved out of state. While at Dresser he worked in the machine shop, did welding and routine maintenance, and generally developed a variety of job-related skills. He also represented his co-workers by serving as a union representative.
Gary has been married for forty-one years and has two married daughters and six grandchildren. He enjoys outdoor activities including hunting and range shooting competitions.
